We were first approached by Tiger Club members in 2014 to make these radiators. Club members had found that so many aluminium radiators manufactured by other companies they had previously fitted were leaking. There are cheaper radiators available on the market than ours but please be aware that lots of these units are made using a “cut” core. This means that the manufacturer takes a cheap van radiator and cuts it up to get a core with the correct dimensions to fit a Tiger. The result is a core that is very weak on the top and bottom tubes and often leaks. All of the cores we use in our radiators are manufactured in the Uk with a core that is made bespoke for each unit.
The Concept Racing Sunbeam Tiger high efficiency aluminium radiator complete with a fan sender switch and a drain plug. The Concept Racing Sunbeam Tiger Radiator uses a high performance single 42mm tube core. We make 2 variations of the radiator, a single pass version and a multi-pass version. The multi-pass uses baffles to send the coolant through the core 3 times thereby further aiding cooling. Many Tiger Club members are getting really good results with our radiators.
Concept Racing can also put fan mounts onto the Tiger Radiator to mount a highly efficient Spal fan if required. We never recommend using zip tie type fan mounts on radiators (the type where you thread a tie through the core). Aluminium radiator tubes are really thin and these risk damaging the core.
Fitment as per original radiator, however we recommend that all aluminum radiators should be rubber mounted to prevent vibration. We also sell a rubber mount which the Concept Radiator has been designed to be used with.
